2014 Chevrolet Silverado
With the upcoming release of the Chevrolet Silverado, the interest for this full-size pickup has never been stronger. With its tech and interior improvements, along with an improved range of engines, the Silverado remains at the top of its game.
The 2014 Silverado 1500 has done an outstanding job in improving its powertrain. This generation is powered by three engine choices. The base is a 4.3-liter V5 engine, followed by a 5.3-liter V8 engine as the mainstream choice, and finally the top of the line 6.2-liter V8 engine. All three engines are equipped with cylinder deactivation, direct injection, and variable valve timing. The V8 engines come with an active exhaust system to stabilize back pressure.
As for refinement and quietness, the 2014 Chevy Silverado is just as praiseworthy. In fact, it’s even more fine-tuned and responsive that the outgoing model.
The exterior of the 2014 Silverado 1500 nothing show-stopping, just like all the other full-size pickup cars it’s up against. However, there are a few notable changes that should turn a few heads around. The grille looks more like its contemporaries, the Silverado 2500 and the 3500 HD, with a higher stance to give it more presence on the road. Thanks to its grille design, it also manages to be more aerodynamic. Its sculpted sides and flared fenders, along with its standard 17- or 20-inch wheels, do quite a commendable job of making it look more vicious than its rivals. All these subtle changes come together to form a full-size pickup that stays true to its roots yet stands on its own.
What would make full-size pickup drivers choose this would be its cargo bed sizes. There are three options: a 5’8”, 6’6”, and an 8’. The pickup box looks excellently designed, with hand-grip pockets and access to the box much more strategically placed than its rivals.
Comfortable and Luxury Interior, Modern Features
The real sweetener of the deal of the new Chevy Silverado is the interior. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado counters the stereotype that full-size pickup trucks do not have to be comfortable inside. The new Silverado is anything but cramped and uncomfortable.
Sporting an all-new modern look matched by high-tech equipment, the interior of the Silverado looks clean and carlike. The controls are easy to operate, which are clustered either in center console or just beside the steering wheel. The high-wear seat cloth also gives an even more upscale treatment to the Silverado.
Technology at its Finest
The obvious pride of the Silverado 2014 is the Chevrolet MyLink system—an eight-inch touch screen system that can connect with up to ten devices. It also has natural voice recognition, and can add 60 contacts, destinations, and radio stations.
The standard equipment includes StabiliTrak and Trailer Sway Control, head-curtain side airbags, and Hill Start Assist system. You can also opt for a Safety Alert System and Lane Departure Warning system.
Pricing for the 2014 Silverado 1500 will start at $23,950.Cat : Chevrolet,
