2014 Buick Lacrosse
The Buick LaCrosse has undergone a few changes since it was introduced in 2010, improving both its performance and engine. However, none of these changes had that much impact on Buick’s flagship sedan—until the new 2014 Buick LaCrosse. Set to be the biggest update since the last LaCrosse, Buick isn’t pulling any stops and is lunging head first towards the top of the luxury sedan market.
The new 2014 Buick LaCrosse has undergone major exterior changes, giving it a more luxury feel. The front and rear sides have undergone the most change, making it look cleaner and unified. The seven-sided grille projects outward, while the taillights brandish a chrome strip. The rear end receives minor styling changes, including the browed deck stretching to its full width and giving it a somewhat boxed appearance.
For a luxury sedan sold at a relatively fair value, the LaCrosse has made a few impressive additions to its interior, including its steering wheel buttons. Compared to its predecessor, the new LaCrosse promises to be easier and more manageable to operate, as all the controls are stacked in the central console. For its 2014 model, Buick has totally redesigned the cabin tech, with a new center console that’s hard to pass up.
But what’s even more appealing is the new trim. Gone is the plastic trim that has received flak from auto critics, welcoming in synthetic wood that looks more refined and upscale.
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse will copy its outgoing model’s powertrain, which is nowhere near inferior to begin with. Expect the engine to be the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that packs 182 horsepower for the base trim level. The upper trim will come with a 3.6 –liter V6 engine, which produces 303-horsepower.
However, the 2014 LaCrosse is anything but a pushover: it has an eAssist mild hybrid system that optimizes the engine performance well beyond the limit of its rivaling luxury sedans. With an EPA of 36 mpg in the highway, there’s easily anything else that can compare to what this luxury sedan has to offer.
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse comes with the IntelliLink touch-screen system, which allows connectivity with smartphones and audio streaming. The system also allows you access Stitcher Audio. There’s also a 40-gb navigation system that can store virtually thousands of maps and offers regular updates. With the power sunroof and DVD rear entertainment system, this luxury sedan will not leave tech-loving drivers wanting.
As expected, the 2014 LaCrosse prioritizes safety, earning top ratings for its features. Some of these features are the blind-spot warning system, rear side thorax bags, and adaptive cornering headlamps.
The prices for the 2014 Buick Lacrosse have yet to be announced, as there’s no release date yet. Buick is set to announce the prices soon, along with eight other models that it will release next year.Cat : Buick,
