2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart
The Lancer Ralliart is a high-tech car powered with a 237 horsepower turbocharger (2.0 liter four cylinder) and 6-speed double clutch transmission (DCT). DCT means a car is able to shift faster than those equipped with single-clutch automated manual transmission. It will do one to sixty in 6.7 seconds. It also has paddle shifters which are two levers on the side of the steering wheel allowing the driver to select a gear without taking their hands off the steering wheel. One down side is the steering wheel tilts but does not have telescopic adjustment. The exterior has a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear, spoiler, chrome tailpipe, power windows and bumpers the same color as the body. It comes in ‘tarmac black pearl’, ‘titanium grey metallic’, ‘rally red metallic’, ‘apex silvery metallic’ and ‘wicked white’!
The Lancer Ralliart’s interior has unique trimming and the leather finishing and steering wheel continues the exterior sporty look. It has a 5 person capacity for seating and 10 cubic feet of luggage space. It’s six speaker 140 watt AM/FM/CD stereo system combined with a 30 gig storage capacity for music, USB port, color LCD multi-function display, FUSE infotainment system with Bluetooth and voice command function has everything a driver needs. This system also includes Sirius satellite radio. The front and back beverage holders are convenient and practical.
More on the practical side, it has a 14.5 gallon fuel capacity and the estimated fuel usage is 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on highways. This four door sedan (that also comes in hatchback) is an all-wheel vehicle that has 18 x 7.5 inch alloy wheels with 215/45R18 89W tire performance and a tire pressure monitoring system.
With a base price of $28,095 two optional packages are available for the Lancer Ralliart. The $3,350 touring package adds an upgrade on leather upholstery, additional audio features, sunroof and rear camera system. The $2,000 option package adds a navigation system that also includes the rear camera. Auto-off headlights come standard.
Safety features include knee air bags for the driver, side impact airbags for the front seats, and side curtain airbags for both the front and rear seating (that’s seven air bags). It has an electronic stability system and four wheel antilock brakes. It scored four out of five stars in overall government crash tests. It also has a front and rear anti-roll bar.
